Odelle Roberts Reynolds, 75, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Friday, February 18, 2005, at Arbor Baptist Church, Fitzgerald, with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge, Rev. Kelly Brown and Rev. John Gibbs, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 Thursday evening.
Mrs. Reynolds was born December 1, 1929, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Jim and Ella Bea Jones Roberts. She moved to Fitzgerald from Irwin County in 1950, graduating from Ocilla High School in 1946. She attended two years of Business College in Atlanta. Mrs. Reynolds was a Final Inspector for H.R. Kaminsky & Sons, where she worked for thirty years and was a former employee of Y & W Sportswear. She was a member of Arbor Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Arbor Lights, the Young At Heart, the Sanctuary Sunday School Class and the Pam Hall Discipleship Training Class. She was a former member of Callie Garbutt Baptist Church, where she was a Nursery coordinator, Sunday School Teacher, Training Union Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher and a member of the W.M.U.
Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her children: Dianne (Lamar) McDonald, Lamar (Angie) Reynolds, Joyce Reynolds and Gail Reynolds, all of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Jason (Lori) McDonald, Justin McDonald, Josh McDonald, all of Fitzgerald, Jennifer (Billy) Mix, Gray, GA, Rebecca Reynolds, Lee Reynolds and LeaAnn (Joey) Wade, all of Fitzgerald; Jamie (Ken) Paulk, Sylvester, GA; ten great-grandchildren; sisters: Estelle Aycock, Warner Robins, Evelyn Royal, Fitzgerald and Carolyn Hobby, Wray, GA; brothers: Tillman Roberts, Fitzgerald, Frank “Pee Wee” Roberts, White, GA and Clifford Roberts, Calhoun, GA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C. “Buckshot” Reynolds, a brother, Roscoe Roberts and a sister, Doris R. Kilgore.
