William A. "Bill" Drinkwater died on Sunday, May 3, in the Somerville Hospital. A lifelong resident of Somerville, he was the son of the late Constantino and Grace (Petrillo) Bevilacqua. William proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He was the cherished brother of Rita (Drinkwater) Centrella and her husband Joseph of Medford, the late Frank C. Drinkwater and his late wife Anne. William was the loving uncle of Joseph P. Centrella and his wife Donna of Burlington, Stephen J. Centrella and his wife Mary of Rutland, James Drinkwater and his wife Trish of Goleta, CA, William Drinkwater and his wife Cindy of Billerica, Carol (Drinkwater) Haley and her husband Ken of Somerville. He was the loving great uncle of Rachel, Alison, Kristen, Sarah, Joe, Eric, Ashlee and Jessica.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday, May 8 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, May 7, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
