Bryson, Francis B. May 3. Long time resident of Weston, formerly of Newton. Graduated from Newton High School ’45. All Scholastic in football and baseball. Graduated from the College of the Holy Cross ’51. Received William Lawlor award for outstanding Scholar-Athlete. Played football and was on the Holy Cross Orange Bowl team ’46. Served in United States Navy ’46to’48. Graduated from Boston College Law School ‘59. A Member of Massachusetts Bar Association. Worked for the Bell System for 35 years. Member of Brae Burn Country Club of West Newton for 40 years, where he played golf, tennis and paddle tennis. As a ski enthusiast, skied at Sugarbush, VT where the family had a home.

Beloved husband for 62 years of Joan Bryson. Beloved father of Pamela Kinn and her husband Bruce of Wellesley, Carol Laves and her husband Joerg of Bedford NH, Michael Bryson of Needham and David Bryson of Weston. Beloved grandfather of Samantha and Emily Kinn, Nicholas and Samuel Laves, Caleigh, Emmie and Luke Bryson and Stephanie, Victoria and Caroline Bryson. Beloved brother of Marion Panora of Milton, Dorothy Delaney of Potomac MD, the late John Bryson, Charles Bryson, Margaret Koehler and Janet Kosak. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt.16) Wellesley, Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Julia Church, Weston Center at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visitation in the funeral home prior to the Mass from 8:30am to 9:30am. Private interment in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
