Rachel Mendoza, 65, of Ventura, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 in Santa Barbara. Mrs. Mendoza was born June 19, 1948 in Ventura and was a Ventura County resident all of her life. She was a homemaker and was truly a loving mother and was truly a loving mother and was the "best mom."
Rachel is survived by her sons Frank and his partner Moana Mendoza of Ventura, Jesse Mendoza of Ventura, Martin Mendoza of Ventura; daughters Senaida and Rosalio Ramos of Ventura, Eloise Mendoza and her partner Antonio Ramos of Ventura; father Rupert Barron Sr. of Ventura; sisters Modesta Carillo of Ventura, Virginia Barron of Ventura, Anita Ramos of Ventura; grandchildren Jackie Mendoza, Senaida Ramos Jr., Rosalio Ramos Jr., Ariel Franco, Elizabeth Franco, Vanesa Ramos, Alyssa Mendoza, Keawe Mendoza, Rupert Ramos, Miranda Ramos, Nicholas Ramos, Martin Mendoza Jr., Samuel Mendoza; and great grandchildren Jorgie Hernandez, Audrey Saucecedo, baby Ford Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her mother Senaida Barboza Barronand and brother Rupert Barron.
Friends may visit from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Thursday, May 7, 2015 with a rosary being recited at 7:30 PM that night at the San Buenaventura Mission. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon on Friday at the San Buenaventura Mission, and the burial will follow at the Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
