Obituary

CINCOTTI, JOSEPHINE "GIUSEPPINA" of So. Boston, May 1, 2015 at age 91. Born of Immigrant Italian parents Giacomo Cincotti & Esterina Alunni in the North End of Boston, she was the youngest of five, with sisters Filomena, Alfonsina, Silvia & brother Eduardo. The love of her life, Walter Fernandes, died soon after arrival in Europe at the Battle of the Bulge. She subsequently never married. Josephine was employed by General Electric in Lynn, and John Hancock in Boston. Upon retirement, brother in law Ramon Rodriguez returned to his birthplace in Fontan, Spain with wife Filomena, and Josephine accompanied them. She lived in Spain for twenty years until their deaths when she returned to Boston to live with sister Sylvia Krukonis. She leaves many nieces & nephews in America and many beloved friends in Spain. After Sylvia's death, she spent her final years at Marion Manor in So. Boston. Visiting Hours at The Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street So. Boston Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held in The Gate of Heaven Church Thursday at 10 A.M. Interment St. Michael Cemetery, Boston. Josephine was an active church-goer. Donations in Josephine's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
