Swift, Pamela "Whitney" Formerly of Hingham, April 24 age 92. Beloved wife of the late Humphrey H. Swift III. Beloved stepmother of Edith S. Swift of Australia and Alexandra S Bigelow of Dedham, and her husband Edward III. Beloved mother of Pamela W. Swift Jr. of Auburndale and her husband Howard Tarnower, Hope H. Swift of Sherborn and her husband Dudley Baker, Alison C. Swift of San Jose, CA and her husband Daniel McKinney. Devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Sister of of the late Russell A. Whitney.
Graduate of the Brimmer and May School and Vassar College. Earned her solo pilot's license. Past Director of Volunteers at the N.E. Deaconess Hospital. Devoted to musical theater. Launched the Hingham Cabaret. Member and one time show chairman of the Vincent Club, Member of the Chilton Club and the Theater Guild. Lived a vibrant, full life traveling to Europe and Asia with her husband to support his business, Swift Instruments Inc.. She filled many people's lives with energy and joy.
