Laura J. Contraros, 85, of Derry, NH died Friday May 1, 2015 in the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA. Mrs. Contraros was born in Highland Park, MI on May 10,1929, a daughter of the late Charles and Georgia (Hutchinson) Libbee. She graduated from Lowell High School, Lowell, MA Class of 1947. She was a longtime resident of Pelham, NH before moving to Derry in 1998. Mrs. Contraros had been employed for Hadco Corp in Derry for many years. She enjoyed playing Bingo and taking trips to Foxwoods Casino.
She is survived by her four sons, Leo Contraros and his wife Bonnie of Pembroke, NH, Robert Contraros and his wife Deborah of Derry, Ronald Contraros of Litchfield, NH, and Peter Contraros and his wife Kathy of Manchester, NH, 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one niece, Linda McGrade of Florida. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Contraros in 1986 and by her granddaughter, Katelyn Contraros in 2005.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday May 5, 2015 from 9 – 11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry followed by a funeral service at 11:00 in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Gibson Cemetery, Pelham.
