Obituary

SPENCER: Steven W. Morse, 59 of R. Jones Rd., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 28th., surrounded by his family at his home.
He leaves his wife of 16 years, Joyce A. (Townsend) Morse, his mother Ruth (Morse) DeFoe of Dudley, a son Seth S. Morse of Charlton, a daughter Amber L. Grout and her husband William of No. Brookfield, two brothers Kenneth R. Morse and his wife Belinda of Charlton, and James E. Morse and his wife Rhonda of Spencer, Tenn., a sister Mary T. Walsh and her husband Peter of Dudley, a step son David T. Belvery and his wife Stephanie of East Peoria, Ill., and step daughter Lisa R. Sparling and her husband Jay of Bridgewater, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, nieces and nephews.He is predeceased by a step son Todd Belvery in 1988.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Kenneth E. Morse and graduated from Charlton High School and the New York Institute of Photography.
Steve was an inventory specialist at Flexcon in Spencer for 30 years, retiring in 2006. He later was a professional photographer and owned Casual Photo from his home in Spencer. He was a member of Greenville Baptist Church, Professional Photographers of New England, 7 Hills Camera Club in Worcester, Worcester Alliance Meet Up Photographers and the Massasoit Art Guild.
Steve's funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4 at 10 a.m. in Greenville Baptist Church, 674 Pleasant St., Rochdale. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours at the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer are Sunday, May 3 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Greenville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 396, Rochdale, Ma., 01542 or Central MA. Hospice, 191 Pakachoag St., Auburn, Ma. 01501.
