Obituary

Conragan, Richard of Deerfield Beach, Florida and Lowell, Massachusetts, April 22, 2015. Richard was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1931 and served in the Korean Conflict in the US Army. Richard began his career in the shoe factories of Lowell and ended his career in barbering where he owned and operated the Massachusetts School of Barbering and the New England School of Barbering for over 40 years until he retired. His passions were his family, golf, boats and having a great meal! Richard was married to his beloved wife Beatrice (Barsorian) Conragan for 53 years until her untimely death in 2009. He is the son of the late Aram and Alice (Gosdanian) Conragan and brother of the late Aram Conragan. He is survived by his son, Richard K. Conragan Jr. and his wife Susan Conragan and his daughter Denise (Conragan) Murdza and her husband Randal A. Murdza.
Memorial services will be held at Saint Vartanantz Armenian Church, 180 Old Westford Road, Chelmsford, MA on Thursday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m.
Visiting hours at the Aram Bedrosian Funeral Home, 558 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown on Wednesday, May 13 from 4 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Saint Vartanantz Armenian Church. Interment at Lowell Cemetery.
