Obituary

Richard F. Cummings, 71, of North Ave., Derry, NH died Saturday April 13, 2002 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry following a brief illness. Mr. Cummings was born in Londonderry, NH on June 4, 1930, the son of the late Charles F. and Eugenia A. (Corliss) Cummings. He was a lifelong resident of Derry. He was owner and operator of Dick’s Mobil Station at the Derry Village traffic circle from 1958 – 1972. Mr. Cummings had also been a member of St. Mark’s Lodge #44 F & AM, Derry.

He is survived by two sons, Richard M. Cummings, Chester, NH, Dennis A. Cummings, Derry, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three brothers, Robert Cummings, Dracut, Ma, Frederick Cummings, Tyngsboro, Ma, Donald Cummings, Blackstone, Ma, four sisters, Marjorie King, Derry, Jean M. Gagnon, Chester, Sharon Roy, Methuen, Ma, Barbara Beaulieu, Lawrence, Ma, also nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine A. (Tufts) Cummings in 1993 and by his son, Steven D. Cummings in 1987.

There are no calling hours. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday April 16, 2002 at 1:30pm in the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sonshine Soup Kitchen, 4 Crystal Ave., Derry, NH 03038.
