Arthur C. DeLuca, a life-long Medford resident, died Friday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was 79.
Born in Medford, he was the son of the late Antonio and the late Lucy (D´Agnillo) DeLuca. Arthur graduated Medford High School with the class of 1942 and went on to attend Northeastern University. He worked at GTE Laboratotries in Waltham and was a member of the Society of Photographic Scientists and Engineers. Famous in his neighborhood for his back yard barbecues, many a neighbor would marvel at Arthur’s pride and joy, a neatly manicured yard and hedges.
He was the beloved husband of Rose M. (Marino). He was a devoted father to Arthur A. of Medford, and Donald R. and his wife Christine of Melrose. He was a dear brother to Anthony of Medford, Richard W. of Lexington, Anna Rosselli of NH and the late Michael.
Relatives and friends may visit Monday from 4 – 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home,306 Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 9 AM Tuesday in St. Raphael Church, Medford. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
