Marjorie L. Rathbun, a resident of Stoughton, passed away on Wednesday February 9, 2005, after a lengthy illness, at the Blue Hills Alzheimer’s Care Center in Stoughton. She was 81 years old.
Born February 26, 1923 in Winchester, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd E. Rathbun and Lillian G. (Heselton)
She attended Woburn Public Schools and had also resided in Canton and Woburn before moving to Stoughton.
She was employed as a Housekeeper at the Fieldbrook House in Stoughton for over twenty five years, retiring in 1981 due to illness.
She also was a member of the First Congregational Church of Stoughton and a forty year member of the Easton, MA Grange.
She is survived by her brothers, Roy E. Rathbun of Stoughton, Arthur L. Rathbun of Pennsylvania and her cousin Florence Webster of Wilmington,MA.
Her graveside funeral service will be held on Monday February 14, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. The Pastor Rev. Donald Olson from the Community Covenant Church of Brockton, officiating. At the family’s request, visiting hours have been omitted. Donations to the charity of ones choice, in Marjorie’s memory would be appreciated.
