Emma C. (Mello) Cabral. Age 83. Residence 500 Wilbur Ave., Somerset, formerly of 140 Essex St.,Fall River. Died Friday in Fall River at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was born in Fall River. Daughter of the late Jose C. Mello and the late Mabel A. (Soriel) Mello. She was a resident of Fall River and formerly of Somerset. Before retiring she was employed as a Sewing Machine Operator for Jodi-Sue Manufacturing Company. She was a member of St. Michael Church. She was a member of the Democratic Women’s Club where she served as past Secretary-Treasurer.
She is survived by 1 Son: Jack Cabral of Fall River. 1 Daughter: Mrs. Ronald (Patricia)Gomes of Swansea. 1 Sister: Leonore Sousa of Fall River. 1 Grandson: Christopher Gomes of Middletown, RI. 3 Great-grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews. She was the mother of the late Kenneth Cabral. She was the sister of the late Charles & Everett Mello, Mary Roy, Olive Estrella, and Adelaide Laureanno.
Her Funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 North Main Street, Fall River, MA on Wednesday at 9A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, Essex St., Fall River, MA at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River, MA. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8 P.M.
