Wesley Robert “Bob” Lutey, Sr., age 76, of Salem, NH died Thursday at the Dover Rehabilitation Center in Dover, NH. He had been a resident of Salem since 1959, previously residing in Washington, DC.
He was born in Kingston Heights, Michigan and grew up and was educated in Wisconsin graduating from Wauwatosa High School in Wisconsin and George Washington University in Washington, DC. Mr. Lutey served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
He was employed as a sales representative for NYNEX and formerly worked on the editorial staff at the Lawrence Eagle Tribune. He was a member of the North Salem United Methodist Church and a former member of the Pleasant Street United Methodist Church in Salem, NH.
Mr. Lutey was a member of the original board of directors at the Salemhaven Nursing Home. He was one of the founders of Open Door kindergarten. He was a former board member of the Salem Group Living Home, a former member of the Derry-Salem Elks, and a long time member of Crystal Springs Golf Course.
He was predeceased by two brothers William & Cecil Lutey.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11AM at North Salem United Methodist Church.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 3-7 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Cremation will follow
