Funeral services for Margaret Stewart Lumpkin, age 83, 5701 Cannon Rd., Ashburn will be held Friday, February 11, 2005 at 4:00 P.M. at the Harmony Baptist Church with burial to follow in Harmony Cemetery. Mrs. Lumpkin died Tuesday at Lee County Health Care following an extended illness.
Mrs. Lumpkin was born in Worth County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Alexander and Maggie Elizabeth Balkcom Stewart. She had resided in Turner County for over 60 years.
She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church where she was a member of the church choir, W.M.U. and was a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher.
She is survived by three sons and their wives: Dorsey and Sandy Lumpkin, Ashburn, Ga.; Ralph and Donna Lumpkin, Ashburn, Ga.; Larry and Sharon Lumpkin, Marietta, Ga.; one daughter and her husband, Marguerite and Buddy Lewis, Cordele, Ga.
Also surviving are her grandchildren: Deedy Eidenire, Leslie, Ga.; Stacey Lumpkin, Lenox, Ga.; Joy Sanders, Dallas, Ga.; Nick Lumpkin, Dallas, Ga.; Kristin Dyer, Marietta, Ga.; Kayla and Jaclyn Lumpkin both of Ashburn, Ga.
Also surviving are her great grandchildren: John, Brian and Rachel Eidenire, Leslie, Ga.; Madalyn and Mason Sanders, Dallas, Ga. and Jackson Dyer of Marietta, Ga.
Mrs. Lumpkin is also survived by two brothers, Robert Stewart, Sumner, Ga. and Valton Stewart, Albany, Ga.
The family will receive friends from 7 till 9 Thursday at Perry Funeral Chapel.
