Effie M. Scott, 85, of Derry, NH died Thursday February 10, 2005 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home, Derry. Mrs. Scott was born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada on February 25, 1919 a daughter of the late George F. and Alma (Rathburn) Pettie. She had resided in Derry since 1960, formerly living in Malden, MA. She was employed for nine years as a switchboard operator for the Derry Shoe Company. She was more recently employed for Ben Franklin Crafts in Londonderry.
Mrs. Scott leaves no surviving family. She is survived by her dear friend, Beatrice L. LaJeunesse of Derry. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward C. Scott in 1992.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, private burial will in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry in the Spring. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling arrangements.
