
SALEM- Bernice S. (Kosidlak) Butler, 90, of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning, February 9, 2005, at the Montserrat Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Beverly, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late William H. Butler Sr.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Teofila (Radziewic) Kosidlak. She was raised and educated in Peabody and attended Peabody Schools.
Mrs. Butler was a hairdresser who owned and operated the Charm Beauty Salon in Peabody for over 10 years. After her retirement from hairdressing, she was a nurse’s aid at the Cedar Glen Nursing Home in Danvers for several years. She was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Church in Peabody.
She is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Bill and Toni Butler of Topsfield, a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Frank Roberts of Middleton; 9 grandchildren, Cindy Wisniewski of Danvers, Richard Roberts Sr., of Gloucester, William Roberts of Norfolk, John Roberts of Peabody, James Roberts of Georgia, Deborah Howley of Middleton, Jeremy Roberts of Beverly, Deanna Ruscio of Belchertown and Dana Butler of Colorado as well as 18 great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 9:00 AM from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Salem to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Sunday from 4 to 6 PM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
