Charles Martin Chandler
December 25, 1930- April 12, 2015

Charles Martin Chandler,84, of Deming, New Mexico (formerly of Anderson) died on April 12, 2015 at his residence in Deming, New Mexico following an extended illness.

He was born on December 25, 1930 in Marion County, Indiana to Henry Lewis and Mary Ellen (White) Chandler.

He was a utility man at Delco Remy for 41 years and retired in 1991.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Deming, New Mexico. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing table games, sports, and spending time with his family and especially his cat, "Chloe".

Survivors include his wife, Helen L. (Coffman) Chandler of Deming, New Mexico whom he married on August 29, 1954 in Anderson; 4 Children, Debra (Ehab) Elemary, Donna (Randy) Green, Doug (Sandy) Chandler, and Dale (Shelly) Chandler; 2 brothers, Bob (Billie) Chandler and Richard (Fran) Chandler; sister, Grace Ring; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dennis Chandler and a sister, Velma Beaman.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 1:30 pm at Eastview Church of the Nazarene, 2552 East 200 South, Anderson, with Rev. Fred Stevens officiating. The burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites being conducted by VFW Honor Guard Post 266.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at the church on Thursday.

Memorial contributions may be given to: American Heart Association or First Church of the Nazarene in Deming, New Mexico.
