Evans and her husband Gareth of London and Christine A. Walsh and her fiancé Jason Dwyer of Washington, DC. Aunt of Audrey Hayes of Acton, Barbara Cowen of Lexington and Caryl Robinson of Arlington.
Visitation at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in Eileen's memory may be made to the Brockton Symphony Orchestra PO Box 143 Brockton, MA 02303.

Mrs. Eileen M. (Hayes) Walsh 96 years died Wednesday at the West Acres Nursing Home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Joseph H. Walsh. She was born and raised in Winthrop, Mass. a daughter of the late F. Thomas and M. Mary (Burke) Hayes. For the past 60 years she had been a resident of Brockton.
Mrs. Walsh was a graduate of Winthrop High School and Miss Neil’s School. She had been an elementary school teacher in Bath, Maine, Winthrop, Mass. and Brockton Public Schools.
Mrs. Walsh enjoyed reading, playing bridge and golf. She and her late husband had been members of the Brockton Country Club for 58 years. She had been active in the formation and development of the Brockton Symphony. Mrs. Walsh enjoyed classical music and attended theatre in Boston regularly until her later years. She took a keen interest in current events throughout her life.

She was the sister of the late Catherine Sparks, Sr. Blanche Marie, SND, Agnes Mosher, Col. Albert Hayes and Francis Hayes.
