Samuel "Gerald" Clements, 76, of McComb, Mississippi passed away, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Clements will be laid to rest at Clements Cemetery in Irwinville. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Lloyd Crumley, Larry Hand, Randy Clements, Trey Hess, Joshua Clements and Kevin Boyles will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobo Douglas and Jeffery Morton.
Mr. Clements was born November 6, 1938 in Tifton, the son of Sam Clements and Mary Johnson Clements, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Easton Clements, Elmer Clements and Wiley Clements; and two sisters, Lucille Dowdy and Marie Hand. He was retired and a United States Army veteran. He was very active in church work and activities until his health began to fail. He was very mechanically inclined, loving to work on automobiles, televisions, etc..
Mr. Clements is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharrell Canter Clements of McComb, Mississippi; three sons and a daughter-in-law, David Clements of Tampa, Florida, Randy Fulford of Atlanta and Robert and Melody Clements of Sylvester; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sonia and Huey Hess of Pricedale, Mississippi and Michelle and Mike Gattis of McComb, Mississippi; one brother, Wayne Clements of Hiawassee; one sister, Reba Crumley of Valdosta; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; an expected great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
