John B. "Lankey" Seguin, 94, of Olympia Towers, New Bedford died Friday February 4, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Catherine (Pontes) Seguin.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late John and Florence (Rodgers) Seguin, he lived in New Bedford for many years.
Mr. Seguin was formerly employed as a chipper at the Quincy Shipyard before his retirement.
Survivors include his wife; his brother-in-law, Egidio Mello and his wife Aleta of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Roger Seguin, James Seguin, Allen Seguin, Cecilia Knight, Mary Sherman-Despres, and Katherine Philla.
His remains were received by Harvard Medical School for anatomical research. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
