Orvin E. McQueary, 77, of Anderson died on April 16, 2015 at Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born on February 26, 1938 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to Willis and Ollie (Simpson) McQueary.
He worked at Chesterfield Lumber Co. until 1959 and then Nicholson File until 1978. In 1976, he started his own Excavating Company until December 2014.
He was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Marie (Lunsford) McQueary whom he married on June 2, 1957 in Muncie; 4 sons, Gregory (Beverly), Mitchael, Jeff, and Ronald (Teresa) McQueary; brothers and sisters, Mary Belle (James) Flanagan; Lenvile McQueary; Brenda (Bill) Bray; Arvil Jay (Onie) McQueary; Susie (Glenville) Burton; Raydean (Calvin) Lunsford; 6 grandchildren, Leah (Larry), Laura, Bradley, Joshua (fiancee' Katie Lewis), Justin and Miles; 4 great-grandchildren, Kadance , David, Madelyn, and Myla; 2 brothers-in-law, Lloyd and Clayton Lunsford; host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Lousier, Leonis, William, and Leslie McQueary, Mae West and Flora Baker.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 12:00pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastors Dan Alexander and Jeff Floyd officiating. The burial will take place in Bronnenberg Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am-12:00 noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Parkview Church of the Nazarene.
