Obituary

Fall River – Faye M. (Smith) Wilbur, 64, of East King Road, Tiverton, RI died Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of Donald F. Wilbur.

She was born in Westport, daughter of the late Robert E. and Doris S. (Teasdale) Smith and foster daughter of the late Ralph W. Tripp, Jr. and Kay (Souza) Tripp, and had resided in Tiverton for the past 37 years. Prior to her illness, she was employed by the Tiverton School Department as a cafeteria worker. Mrs. Wilbur was a Deaconess and Sunday School Teacher with the Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church, Tiverton. She enjoyed cooking and also arts and crafts.

Including her husband, she is survived by 2 sons: William H. Wilbur of Tiverton and Adam R. Wilbur of Fall River; a daughter: Jennifer Sikora of Fall River; a sister: Gertrude Edwards of Maine; 2 foster brothers: Ralph W. Tripp III of New Bedford and Lt. Commander U.S. Coast Guard Retired Leighton H. Tripp of Gulfport, MS; 2 grandchildren: Aleasha Wilbur and Kyle Wilbur; and several nieces and nephews.

She was mother of the late Donald F. Wilbur, Jr. and sister of the late Richard Smith and Cheryl Smith.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church, Tiverton at 10:00 A.M.

Calling hours will be Friday 4 – 8 P.M. at Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.
