Rayford Clinton Sprouse, age 70, passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday, February 7, 2005. He was in the Hospice In His Hands center in Durant, MS at the time of his death.
Born in Panola County, MS, Mr. Sprouse was retired from Miller Trucking Company, served his country as a member of the United States Army, and was of the Baptist faith.
Visitation will be at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 from 12:00 Noon untill the 2:00 PM funeral service . Officiating at the service will be Reverend James West and serving as pallbearers are Carol Hullett, Michael Brock, Eddie Dixon,JR, Dale Rowsey, J. C. Womble and Larry Sprouse. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include a daughter,Phyllis Murrell of Greenville, MS, three sons - James C. Sprouse and Jerry Dixon of Koscuisko, MS, and Eddie Dixon of Bartlett, TN , a sister, Oneil Johnston of Water Valley, MS and a brother, Earl Dale Hendricks of Water Valley, MS. There are also 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Claude Sprouse and Dorothy Ware Sprouse Hendricks, his Step-father Earl Hendricks and two brothers, Thomas Sprouse and William Hendricks
