CLARE F. (DUNN) BIGELOW, age 63, died on Monday, Feb. 7th at the Baypath at Duxbury Nursing Home after a long illness. Mrs. Bigelow was born, raised and educated in Hingham, graduating from Hingham High School in 1960. She was a certified home health aide and was associated with Braintree Home Health Services and also the Village at Duxbury, an assisted living facility. After leaving Hingham, she lived in Marshfield for many years before moving to Whitman a year and a half ago. She enjoyed her summer trips to New Hampshire, especially Lake Winnipesaukee
She was the wife of Loring G. Bigelow, and mother of Whitney Schuka of Marshfield, Susan Supple of Whitman and Loryn Dahlen of Kingston. Sister of Mary E. Souther, Anne Durant and Elizabeth Croker all of Hingham, Carole Pyne of Blue Bell, PA and the late J. Robert Dunn. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandsons, several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Carol Dunn of Matthews, NC.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 10th at 10 AM at St. Paul's Church, Hingham Square.
Friends may visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Wednesday from 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
Following cremation, the interment will be private.
