Flynn, of Mashpee, formerly of Brockton, February 7, 2005, Eleanor L. (Fordham) Flynn, 88 years. Wife of the late Joseph P. Flynn, mother of Peter J. Flynn, Susan E. Simmons and Kathleen A. Hickson. She also leaves seven grandsons and two great grandchildren.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph. Visiting Hours Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8pm.

Eleanor L. (Fordham) Flynn died Monday morning after a one-year illness at Cape Cod Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Bourne.
Born and raised in Dedham, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Sarah (Boyle) Fordham who were both from Sligo, Ireland. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Flynn who died in 1990, whom she had been married to since 1947. They spent their working lives in Brockton and in 1983 retired to Mashpee.
Mrs. Flynn was trained as a seamstress by her mother and continued this trade throughout her adult life. She was a Home Economics teacher in Boston schools beginning in 1945 and retiring in 1983 with interruption to raise her family.
She enjoyed decorative handicrafts, dancing, gardening and swimming. In recent years she was an avid bingo player on the upper Cape circuit. While a resident of Brockton she was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and while in Mashpee was a communicant of Christ the King Church of which she also volunteered in the church food pantry.
She is survived by one son Peter J. Flynn of Newburyport, two daughters, Susan E. Simmons of Brockton and Kathleen A. Hickson of Sandwich, nieces and nephews, seven grandsons and two great grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Alfred and Fredrick Fordham and Sarah Fordham
