Michel R. Ramia, 66, of New Bedford died Monday April 8, 2002 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. He was the husband of Hanan Ramia of Las Vegas, Nev., and son of the late Roumenas B. and Matilda (Belan) Ramia.
Mr. Ramia was born in Lebanon and had lived in New Bedford for the past 25 years.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church in New Bedford.
Mr. Ramia was the former proprietor of Mike's Used Cars on Purchase Street in New Bedford.
Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Michael Ramia and John Ramia, both of Las Vegas; a daughter, Dr. Matilda Ramia Leocadio of California; 2 brothers, Tanios R. Ramia of Rhode Island and Joseph R. Ramia of Lebanon; 2 sisters, Mary R. Ramia and Noel Moses Ramia, both of Lebanon; many nieces and nephews; and several cousins in New Bedford and Rhode Island.He was the brother of the late Takla R. Ramia.
