Obituary

Beverly Ann Day, 62, of 765 Union Ave. died February 7, 2005 in Lakes Region General Hospital. She was born in Somerville MA on February 15, 1942, the daughter of Thomas P. and Thelma L. (Howard) Butcher. Raised in Somerville, she lived most of her adult life in Reading MA until she relocated to Laconia in 1998.

Until illness forced an early retirement, she had been employed as a secretary for several firms, including Graham Radio Company. While a Reading resident, she was a member of the Old South Methodist Church of Reading. She was a member of the Watertown MA Lodge of Pythian Sisters.

Beverly loved dogs and enjoyed Bingo and the game of Scrabble.

She is survived by a son, Robert Belleville of Laconia; a daughter, Susan Carter and her husband Scott Carter of Barnstead; four grandchildren, Chad Belleville, Michael Carter, Wesley Carter and Stephen Carter; a brother, Thomas Butcher and his wife, Louise of Jacksonville FL; and a niece.

The family greatly appreciated the care given by Dr. Hasan Duymazler, Dr. Samjot Dhillon and Dr. Taj Shafique. A private memorial ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the NH Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia NH 03247 or the Make-A-Wish Foundation of NH, 66 Hanover St., Ste. 101, Manchester NH 03101-2230. The Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. is assisting the family with arrangements.
