Gertrude M. (Bickford) Simcock, 87, of Marion died February 6, 2005 at the Guardian Center in Brockton after a long illness.
She was the wife of Richard H. Simcock.
Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Walter and Ida (McKnight) Bickford, she lived in Westwood, MA for 30 years. She summered in Marion for many years before retiring to Marion in 1977.
She was a communicant of St. Rita's Church in Marion and St. Margaret Mary Church in Westwood.
Survivors include 3 sons, Richard W. Simcock, and his wife Susan, of Naperville, Illinois, Stephen M. Simcock, and his wife Jo-Anne, of Wareham, and Donald L. Simcock, and his wife Pam, of Columbus, Mississippi; a daughter, Patricia A. Hemphill, and her husband James, of Plymouth, MA; a brother, Walter "Lionel" Bickford of Canada; a sister, Mildred Klerowski of Cumberland, RI; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Wednesday, February 9th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Rita's Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday, February 8th from 4-8 PM.
Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
