Obituary

Karl J. Farnworth, 65, of Fairhaven died February 5, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Nancy M. (Regan) Farnworth.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Frank and Doris (Farnworth) Tumienski, he lived in New Bedford most of his life before retiring to Fairhaven.
Mr. Farnworth was a member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church.
He was formerly employed by the New Bedford Fire Department for 20 years until his retirement. In his retirement, he was a caretaker at Camp Massasoit in Mattapoisett.
Mr. Farnworth served in the US Coast Guard.
He enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Karl A. Farnworth, and his wife Lisa, and Kevin A. Farnworth, and his wife Doreen, all of New Bedford; two daughters, Kari E. Rossi, and her husband Thomas, of Fairhaven and Kristen B. Saunders, and her husband John, of New Bedford; a brother, Ronald Tumienski, and his wife Peg, of Shrewsbury; a brother-in-law, James L. Regan of Fairhaven; ten grandchildren, Courtney, Andrew, and Liam Saunders, Sarah, Maggie, and Brendan Rossi, and Kyle, Matthew, Aiden, and Curran Farnworth; a niece and four nephews; and several cousins.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday, February 9th at 10 AM. Funeral Service at St. Martin's Episcopal Church at 11 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday, February 8th from 4-8 PM.
