Florence E. Miller
Longtime Tewksbury resident
TEWKSBURY: Florence E. (Thompson) Miller, age 95, a resident of Tewksbury for over 55 years, passed away at the Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus on Sunday, April 12, 2015.
She was the beloved wife of former Tewksbury Wiring Inspector, Robert J. Miller, Sr., who passed away on September 3, 2011.
Born in Northbridge on June 27, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Rosie (Montville) Thompson.
Florence was raised in Northbridge and Boston.
She attended Boston Public Schools.
In 1959, she and her late husband moved from Roxbury to Tewksbury.
She was a stay at home Mom, and devoted her time to raising five children.
Florence is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Brady of Candia, NH and Roberta Brady and her husband Joseph of E. Kingston, NH; three sons, Arthur F. Miller of Tewksbury, Robert J. Miller, Jr. of Dracut, and Frederick A. Miller of Groton; three grandchildren, Coleen Brady of Tewksbury, Maureen Moore of Candia, NH and Joseph Brady of Billerica; four great grandchildren, Rosie, Jessica, Michelle and T.J.; one sister, Agnes Lemaire of Attleboro; also many nieces and nephews.
Florence was the sister of the late Ruth Pearlman, Marie Casey, Joseph and Willard Thompson; mother-in-law of the late George Brady, and grandmother of the late George Brady, Jr.
Calling hours are Thursday, April 16, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. At the request of the family there are No Funeral Services. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
