Obituary

Worcester- Charles F. Dillon, 84, of 216 Providence St., died Thursday, Feb. 3, in St. Vincent Hospital, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Mary R. (Banach) Dillon; a daughter, Maureen R. Greulich and her husband, Frederick P., of Marlborough; two granddaughters, Lindsey Dillon Greulich and Kimberly Dillon Greulich, both of Marlborough; four nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Gordon Dillon, and a sister Margaret Madden. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of William and Harriett (Phinney) Dillon, and lived most of his life in Worcester. He graduated from Commerce High School and Becker Junior College.
Mr. Dillon was an administrator for the Department of Veterans Services in Boston for many years, retiring in 1983.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish.
The funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 7, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, in the funeral home. Contributions can be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Memorial Fund, 34 Ward St., Worcester, MA 01610.
