Elizabeth “Lou” Robinson Strange, 78, of Atlantic Beach, FL, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL.
Graveside services will be held 2 P.M., Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until the service hour at The Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, GA.
Lou was born September 5, 1936, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late John D. and Nellie Lou Smith Robinson. She graduated from Irwin County High School in 1954 and married Virgil Strange on February 26, 1956. They raised their two daughters in Dothan, AL before settling in Atlantic Beach, FL in 1971. She was a long-time, active member of Regency Church of God and Hope Circle in Jacksonville, FL. A proud stay-at-home mom, Lou tended to her children and grandchildren with love and care. Her hobbies were china painting, party planning and spending time with her family.
She leaves behind her husband of 59 years, Virgil J. Strange of Atlantic Beach, FL; daughters: Cynthia (David) Hagist of Atlantic Beach, FL and Kristina (Donnie) Schurer of Jacksonville Beach, FL; grandson, Daniel (Kendra) Cobb of Atlantic Beach, FL; granddaughters: Kaylee Schurer and Kelsey Schurer, both of Jacksonville Beach, FL; brother, Joseph (Sheila) Robinson of Jacksonville, FL; and sister, Christina Johnson of Jacksonville, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John D. Robinson, Jr.
