Obituary

SALEM - Mark S. Mikulski, 55, of Salem, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at his home following a short illness.

Born in Salem, he was the son of Pauline (Caron) Mikulski of Salem and the late Richard A. Mikulski.

A lifelong resident of the city, Mark was self-employed for many years as a tile contractor. He was meticulous in his trade and known as “the tile guy”.

Mark was a devoted and caring son and brother, always there for his family at a moment’s notice if needed. His talents were many and there was no job that he wasn’t willing to tackle. He will be remembered lovingly by his nieces and nephews as humorous, generous and supportive. “Uncle Mark” always had an unexpected practical joke or surprise in his back pocket, adding fun & humor to family gatherings.

Besides his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Deborah and her husband George Tournas, Linda Plante, all of Peabody; Therese and her husband Eric “Ricky” Palm of Salem; a brother, Stephen and his wife Deborah Mikulski of Danvers; eight nieces and nephews, James Tournas, Christine Tournas, Nicholas Plante and his wife Lisa, Christopher Plante, Andrew Mikulski, Kathleen Mikulski, Derek Palm & Erica Palm, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Arrangements are by the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem.
