Brian R. Soucy, 44, of New Bedford died April 6, 2015 at Tobey Hospital after a long illness.
He was the loving son of Marjorie (Lackie) Soucy and the late Robert H. Soucy.
Brian was a graduate of Brockton Christian Regional High School in 1989 and held various jobs including Calvin Clothing until his illness. He played baseball in local Little League, Pony League and in high school.
He was a Bruins, Patriots, and NASCAR fan and a pet lover.
Brian was a born again Christian and a supporter of St. Jude’s Hospital and Wounded Warriors.
His family includes his mother; his brother, David G. Soucy of New Bedford; two aunts, Lois Messier and her husband Scott of Fairhaven and Anna Soucy of Port Charlotte, FL; cousins in Florida and New Jersey; his Godmother, Sandra Moniz of New Bedford, and his dog Rocco.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 10th at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Acushnet Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, April 9th from 4-8 PM.
