Panagiotis Sarantidis, age 88, passed away on April 4, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 6, 1926 in Greece. He was a son of the late Dimitrios and Evanthia (Pitikitis) Sarantidis. He worked as a machinist for Moore Drop Forge for many years before he retired. Panagiotis immigrated to the U.S. forty eight years ago, to take advantage of the employment opportunities, so he could provide a higher education and a better life to his children. He leaves his wife Maria (Psaltou) Sarantidis of Springfield; one daughter Evangelia Mirisis and her husband Christoforos of Chicopee, one son, James Sarantidis and his partner Sienna Whitefield of East Chesterfield; one sister Olympia Gavrelas of Greece. His loving granddaughters and his four adoring great granddaughters were his pride and joy who provided endless hours of exuberance. He is predeceased by one sister Hrisothemi Ahlioptas.
