Donald L. Bliss, died peacefully in his 82nd year at his home in Little Compton, Rhode Island on Saturday, April 4, 2015.
He is survived by his beloved wife and caregiver, Janet R. Bliss; his 5 children: Ann F. Bliss, Steven L. Bliss, Kristen J. Yock, Jennifer E. Mitchell and Hilary A. Bliss; his sister: Joanne Albert; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
As a graduate of RISD, Donald became a renowned architectural lighting designer with many notable corporate and institutional projects. He served as the President of the New York Chapter of IES and was one of the founding members of IALD.
A celebration of life, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Hillside Cemetery in Tiverton, RI at 11:00 A.M.
