Obituary

Boston – Morris E. Hagenston, 63, of Little Compton, RI died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 unexpectedly at Tufts-New England Medical Center. He was the husband of Breda T. (Dow) Shippee Hagenston.

He was born in St. Thomas, Canada, son of the late Morris H. and Constance I. (Dickenson) Hagenston, and had resided in Little Compton for the past 30 years. He was employed as a supervisor for 25 years at Sea Boats, Inc. of Fall River and was a self-employed contractor in the area and also a ship builder in Fall River. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Mr. Hagenston was a Mason, New York Chapter and also an avid gardener.

Including his wife, he is survived by 2 sons: Gerald Hagenston of Fall River and Bruce Shippee of Little Compton, RI; 2 daughters: Robin Greenwood of Tiverton, RI and Sharon Souza of Berkley; a brother: Ernest Hagenston of Carthage, NY; a sister: Judith Haider of Washington; 5 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport at 10:00 A.M.

Calling hours Friday 5 – 8 P.M.

Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton, RI.
