Victor S. Butkiewicz,Sr.,88,of Howe Village, died Saturday, Jan. 29 at Oakwood Nursing & Rehab. in Webster.
He was the husband of Dorothy E. (Metterville) Butkiewicz who died in 1973.
He leaves two sons Victor S. "Bucky" and his wife Beth Butkiewicz, Jr. of Spencer, and Michael P. Butkiewicz of Rutland, two daughters June and her husband Donald Lapierre of So.Barre, Janice A. Beauchamp of E.Brookfield and Deborah M. and her husband Philip White of Spencer, 11 grand and 20 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Butkiewicz was a driver for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette where he worked for 11 years, retiring in 1975. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion Post 138 in Spencer. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and the Teamsters Union, Local 170.
Born in So. Deerfield, he was the son of Joseph and Sophia (Meleski) Butkiewicz.
A Funeral Mass will be held privately in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Spencer at the convenience of the family. Private burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
