Charles Adam Schofill, 56, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Bobby Stone officiating. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Schofill was born June 8, 1948, in Cordele, Georgia, to the late W.A. and Alma Thompson Schofill. A self-employed carpenter and mechanic, he lived in the community most of his life. Mr. Schofill was an avid fisherman and of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Schofill is survived by a daughter: Amber Schofill, Fitzgerald; two brothers: William T. “Bo” Schofill, Dawson and Virgil L. Schofill, Cordele; five sisters: Laura Mashburn and Linda Drawdy, both of Albany, Patricia White, Hogansville, Faye Chitwood and Shirley Dill, both of Ocilla; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Schofill and a sister, Frances Genelle Clark.
