Phyllis A. (Turner) Coffey 75, of Wareham formerly of Newton Upper Falls, died on Sunday January 23, 2005 at the Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston. Born in Needham, Phyllis was raised in Needham graduating from Needham Schools. After Marring her husband Bill she moved to Newton Spending most of it in the Upper Falls. While in Newton Phyllis was the bookkeeper and waitress at the Callahan’s Restaurant in Newton for over 30 years. Daughter of the late Gordon W. and Sarah L. (Brittain) Turner, Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late William B. Coffey who died this January 28th. Loving mother of Gail V. Blanch and her husband David of Attleboro, Beth A. Lee and her husband David of Bellingham, Arthur F. and Debbie Matthews of Pocasset, Karen M. Higgins and her husband Paul of Millis, Paul J. and his fiancée Amy Lyon of Wayland and Daniel Coffey of Medway. Sister of Margaret Wolford of Brookeland TX, Jane Fisher, Nancy Powell both of Newfield ME, Pat Coffey of Somerset, Robert Turner of North Hampton NH, Susan Coffey of Swansea, the late William, Frederick and Thomas Turner. Phyllis is also survived by her loving grandchildren; Jennifer and Tiffany Blanch and Paul and Sarah Higgins, her great grandson Tyler Blanch and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services with her husband Bill will be held at the Needham Cemetery 128 Nehoiden St. Needham on Saturday Feb. 5th at 11:15 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
