Worcester- Jeannette L. (Duchesne) Sullivan, 77, of Worcester, MA died peacefully Sunday evening surrounded by her loving family at St. Vincent Hospital at Medical Center. She leaves six children, Barry and his wife Clare of Auburn, Maureen wife of Matthew Brown of Worcester, Michael and his wife Nancy of Auburn, Mark and his wife Sharon of Worcester, Patricia, and Jeffery and his wife Kamby of Worcester; 13 grandchildren Anna, Thomas, Maureen, Catherine, Allison, Ashley, Sean, Ryan, Jennifer, Rebecca, Erin, Lindsay and Shane; and one great grand child Madison; two brothers Roger Duchesne of Rutland, VT and Gary Duchesne of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Cecellia Zatrepalek of Edison, NJ and Diane Torrey of Bridport, VT and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband of thirty-one years Francis P. Sullivan died in 1984. She is also predeceased by a brother James Duchesne.
She was born in Witherbee, NY daughter of the late Henry and Aurore (Quesnel) Duchesne.
She was raised in Witherbee, NY and Middlebury, VT before coming to Worcester, MA to attend Becker Junior College where she received a degree in accounting. She later attended David Hale Fanning School of Nursing and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Worcester City Hospital for many years before retiring in 1991.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Church. She enjoyed gardening and reading. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family at their many gatherings and annual family trips. She was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Her funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, Feb 3, 2005 in St. Peter’s Church, 929 Main Street Worcester. Entombment will be in St. John’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours are from 5:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 2nd at O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester.
