WORCESTER___Mary (Bartosiewicz) Sutherland, 87, of Warner Ave. died Saturday January 29 in Life Care Center of Auburn. Her husband of 64 years, Bernard G. Sutherland died January 22, 2003.
She leaves three daughters, Claudia Bratiotis and her husband Alex of Millbury; Lois Kolofsky and her husband Robert of Sutton and Joyce Regonini and her husband Peter of Worcester; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. A sister, Jane Bloom died in 2002. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Stanley and Antoinette (Piekar) Bartosiewicz and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Sutherland was a member of St. Stephen’s Church. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Mary enjoyed camping, gardening, travel and was an avid reader. She was also an active participant of native american culture.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday February 1 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shrine of Our Lady of Martyrs, Auriesville, New York, 12016 or to the Grafton Public Library, 33 Grafton Common, Grafton, MA. 01519
