Mary Solimine, of Medford, Passed Away Sunday in the Wilmington Health Care after a brief illness.
Mrs. Solimine was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Basilio and Jennie (Zirpolo) Polcari. After graduating from east Boston High, she went on to graduate from Fisher College. While in school, she always participated in plays and the drama club.
After completing her studies, she went on to become somewhat of an icon at Gilchrist in the sales Department.
Mary had many passions; like knitting and baking, but her true love was the Boston Red Sox. Anyone who ever asked about “the Curse” received the whole truth.
She is the beloved Wife of the late William D. Loving mother of Rosemary Scavongelli and her husband Richard of Lynnfield, William Solimine and his wife Janice of Stoneham, Joanne Buoncuore and her husband Roland of Medford, and Lucille Carpenter and her husband John of Reading. Loving grandmother and great grandmother. Dear sister of Eleanor Mauriello of Stoneham and Olga Seymour of Nashua,NH.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 10:30AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
