Herbert A. Morse of Whitman Massachusetts died suddenly on March 29th whilst performing snow removal as he attempted to reach his shed (aka carriage house).
Born in Brockton in 1929, as a boy he provided for his mother after his brothers were called to duty during WWII. Later he worked for Brockton Edison for thirty-six years before retiring in 1990.
Always remaining active, he occupied himself with household projects until rekindling his natural artistic abilities by becoming a self-taught master wood carver, completing well over two dozen unique original carved sculptures.
Herb was husband to the late Lucy F. Morse whom he married in 1954. After sixteen long years of mourning, they are reunited once again. He leaves behind his beloved and loving daughter Patti Morse.
