Louise D. (Ring) Banks, 98, of Tatnuck Park, Worcester formerly of Columbus Park died Saturday, March 28th at home. Her husband of 68 years, William F. Banks, Sr. died in 2004. She leaves three sons, William F. Banks, Jr. of Holden, John D. Banks of Whitinsville and Stephen R. Banks and his wife, Martha of Worcester; a daughter, Penny L. McGonagle and her husband, John of Saco, ME; 8 grandchildren, William F. Banks III, Katrina Banks-Binici, Stephanie Robertson, Lisa, Michelle and Stephen Banks, Timothy McGonagle and MaryBeth Sullivan and 10 great grandchildren.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of John J. and Marguerite D. (Field) Ring and graduated from the former High School of Commerce. Louise was a devout Catholic and a lifelong member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Tatnuck Park for their care, compassion and assistance for the past 10 years.
Her funeral is Tuesday, April 7th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Louise’s name to Tatnuck Park, One Company Fund, 340 May Street, Worcester, MA 01602.
