Obituary

Jane B. (Bishop) Keniston of Woburn passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester. She was 86 years of age.

Born in Canton, New York, Jane was the beloved daughter of the late Frank R. Bishop and Mary L. (Enslow) Bishop. Jane was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.

Jane was a member of the Teamsters Local Union # 380. She was very active in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, serving as a Deacon for many years. On her 79th birthday, Jane walked 10 miles for the Walk for Hunger in Boston.

Jane loved to cook. She was an avid walker and gardener. She loved her family. They were first and foremost in her life. She was a dedicated employee for Bordon’s Ice Cream until they closed in 1978.

Jane was the beloved wife of the late Charles Keniston. She was the devoted mother of Miriam Sousa and her husband Edward of Woburn and the cherished grandmother of Rebecca, Ned and Rachel Sousa. Jane was predeceased by her 13 brothers and sisters.

A Funeral Service celebrating Jane’s life will be held on Thursday at 11am in the Seventh Day Adventist Church 29 Maple St. STONEHAM. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday from 4-7pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants will be on duty.
