BURKE, Susan Thorndike (Reardon)
Age 82, of Weston, on March 30, 2015 went to be with our Lord in heaven. Beloved wife to Roger M. Burke for 56 years. Cherished mother of Karin Gilman of East Bridgewater, MA; Lindsay Parrett of Orlando, FL; Meredith Grant of Edmonds, WA; Nicholas Burke of Norfolk, MA; Alexandra Ewing of Nashville, TN; and the late Stephanie Older. Susan leaves behind 11 beloved grandchildren. Survived by adoring brothers Michael Reardon and James Reardon, and beloved sister Rosemary Honkanen. Susan was a loving wife, devoted mother, caring sister, aunt and friend. She welcomed one and all into her home with open arms, a giving heart, and a dose of good humor. Susan was very active with the Weston Women’s Community League, and many other organizations.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 477 Washington St. (RT. 16) WELLESLEY, MONDAY April 6th at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Julia’s Church, Weston Center at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours FRIDAY April 3rd from 4-8pm. Interment Linwood Cemetery, Weston.
