SPRINGFIELD – Tim J. “Timmer” Pietras, 43, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Springfield on March 16, 1972 and graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School. Tim furthered his education and received a Certificate as a Counselor in Substance Abuse. He was a stay-at-home dad to his wonderful children and was continuing his education at Holyoke Community College. Tim enjoyed cooking and, most of all, was a wonderful husband and daddy to his loving wife and children. He leaves his loving wife, Heather M. Pietras-Gladu; his cherished children whom he adored, Isaiah, Shyane and Adam; his sisters, Linda Barre, Cynthia, Charlene Haluck and her husband, Richard, and Cathy McCann; and his father and mother-in-law, Donald and Vickie Gladu. In addition, Tim leaves his many close friends and was a loving uncle to his many nephews and nieces. Tim was predeceased by his beloved father, Stanley Pietras. His family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m followed by a Celebration of Tim’s Life at 6:30 p.m. where his family and friends will be invited to share stories about his life at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
