Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm.
Obituary
Mr. LaPierre died Saturday morning at the Northeast Specialty Hospital in Braintree as result of injuries received in an automobile accident December 2003.
He was born in Ludlow, Mass. a son of the late Aldhemore and Marie (Lahey) LaPierre. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield and received an associate degree in engineering from Franklin Institute. For the past 31 years he had been a resident of Brockton.
Before his retirement Mr. LaPierre had been a test engineer for 35 years at the Foxboro Company, now Invensys, in East Bridgewater and Foxboro. He had also been employed part time in the automotive department of Sears Department Store in Brockton.
Mr. LaPierre had been a member of the Berwick Boys in West Bridgewater for many years and a member of the National Guard.
He enjoyed working on cars and hanging with his friends at Christo’s on Friday nights.
He was the loving father of Robert R. LaPierre, Jr. of Brockton and Laura LaPierre-Mourad and her husband Derek of Quincy. Grandfather of Kara MacLeod of Taunton. Former husband of Carol (Harkins) Reis of Plymouth.
Brother of George and Richard LaPierre of Agawam and Marie Gallerani of Belchertown
